Attendance for remote and hybrid teams

Remote check-in for fully remote or hybrid teams — server-verified timestamps, no app to install, each timezone tracked separately.

LiteEntry works for fully remote teams and hybrid ones. A location in LiteEntry is a timezone and a set of configuration — it does not require a physical office. Enable remote check-in for it, and your team checks in and out with one tap from wherever they are.

LiteEntry timestamps every check-in on the server and records who and when. It does not record where.

For hybrid teams: office days too

If some of your team works from an office, a screen by the door handles those check-ins. A spare tablet, an old phone, any device with a browser shows the rotating QR code — staff scan it on the way in, same one tap. On-site and remote check-ins appear in the same report, with the type marked on each row.

Remote check-in

An administrator creates a location, sets its timezone, and switches on remote check-in. Members then check in and out with one tap — no QR code to scan, no screen by a door. LiteEntry records who and when, verified by the same signed session and server clock as a physical scan. It does not record where.

Every remote check-in is marked Remote in the report and in Live. It is not self-reported in the way a spreadsheet is — it is a timestamped record of who said they started, at what minute, which is a great deal more than nothing.

Live view, separated

Live shows on-site and remote counts separately — 9 on site, 3 remote — because when something needs a person physically at the office, you need to know how many are actually there, not how many have checked in from wherever they are. A remote check-in says “I have started”, not “I am at my desk”.

One report for both

The attendance report carries every check-in — office and remote — in one table, filterable by date, location and type. The CSV export marks each session as on-site or remote.

Adding a physical office later

If the team eventually opens an office, add a display to that location and the QR check-in is available immediately alongside remote check-in. Nothing changes for the people who continue working remotely.
