Help · How it works
Admin, Viewer and Member roles
Three roles, one Google sign-in each. Admins configure and manage, Viewers read every report, Members check in and see their own record.
LiteEntry has three roles: Admin, Viewer and Member. Everyone signs in with their Google account. Nobody gets a separate password.
Admin — full access. Admins add locations, pair displays, manage members, configure checks and read all reports.
Viewer — read-only access to every report. Viewers cannot change any settings, add people, or do anything outside the reports. The right role for HR or a finance lead who needs to see attendance without touching the configuration.
Member — the role everyone who checks in holds. Members can see their own attendance record on the same page they check in from. They cannot see anyone else’s record.
Adding a Viewer
Add the person by name and email, set their role to Viewer. Nothing is sent to them: they sign in with their Google account the first time they need the console, and the report is the first thing they see.
Why Viewer exists
An Admin account carries the ability to change configuration — add locations, pair new displays, disable members. Handing that to anyone who only needs to run a monthly report is more access than the job requires.
A Viewer is the answer to “can I give our HR manager access to the attendance report without letting them change how the system works?” One click to set up.
Removing access
Set anyone to Disabled and they stop checking in or accessing the console immediately — no account to chase, nothing left on their phone.
See setting up in five minutes for the full initial setup, or frequently asked questions for what each role can see.
